The Rotary Club of Verwood welcomes a new President for the coming year. On July 1st Louisa Hiscock was delighted to start her year as President following a handover from Roger Sweet, the outgoing President. She is ably supported by Clive Grove as Vice-President and Andy Maw as Junior Vice-President.
Louisa says ‘I am really looking forward to the year ahead. As for many clubs and organisations the last year has been challenging at times and many of the activities and events we support have had to be cancelled or curtailed.
We want to get back out there doing what we do best: supporting our local community through service and fundraising, as well as our ongoing involvement in national and international projects. I joined the club because I wanted to be part of a team making a real difference to the wider community by getting involved. We are already planning events and activities we hope everyone will give their support to, helping us in turn to support others.
‘I am also looking forward to being able to meet up with all club members and enjoy getting together regularly again. We would love to welcome new members to our club and there is no better time to join and get involved.’
