This past year has been strange and difficult in many ways but, on the positive side, did you start a new hobby (or re-kindle an old one)? Painting seems to be one of the most popular choices. Known for many mental health benefits, it can uplift your spirits or calm a stressful life, promote your creativity and build your resilience. It’s something that can be shared with others in a group (even on Zoom!) or done on your own wherever you are – at your kitchen table, in your back garden or, when restrictions allow, by the sea, in the forest or at workshops.
Joining us at Ringwood Art Society offers you the opportunity to meet like-minded people and have fun at demonstrations and workshops, thus encouraging your development and increasing your enjoyment.
As restrictions lift, activities are gradually starting to happen and Ringwood Art Society is currently offering a discounted rate of membership at £10 which would take you up to the end of October. Members will shortly be offered some fabulous demonstrations and workshops (both indoor and outdoor) run by professional teaching artists. Looking ahead, the ceramics sessions are due to re-start and, from 14th -30th August, members will be exhibiting at Greyfriars Community Centre in line with the Hampshire Open Studios event.
Take a look at our website www.ringwoodartsociety.org for more details on what we’re up to and how to join – we hope to see you soon!
